Traffic Simulation on Distributed Memory Computers

My Ph.D. thesis is about running large scale traffic simulations on parallel computers with distributed memory.

There is an official version dated 12-8-97 the day on which the thesis was turned in. Any typos found since then have been corrected in the current version.

In its uncompressed form, each file has a length of 16 Megabytes! It contains 165 pages with 107 figures and 11 tables. Printing it may take up to one hour even on fast printers. It was generated using the European DINA4 paper size, but they should also work for any US letter-sized printer. If they do not, complain!

I would appreciate any comments and suggestions on my thesis.

Most of the simulations of my thesis were done with my microsimulator PAMINA.
